    If you’re taking part in the Transport Hack Day on 2 Apr, please introduce yourself and share a bit about what how you want to get involved with on the day. It’s good to be able to match up complementary skills and interests before the day so we can hit the ground running.

    If you have an idea for a project or some datasets to experiment with, please start a new thread in the forum with a descriptive title and tag it thd11.

    I’m really looking forward to this Saturday, some of the things I’d like to look at:

    1) Improving http://thenextbus.appspot.com so it doesn’t have to page scrape any more.
    2) Extending it to include “I am I want to be there” type functionality
    3) Can we create sheffieldstreets.org.uk like BristolStreets.org.uk ? (Ok, this is gettheirsooner)
    4) For the data that doesn’t have an API, can we make one?
    5) Can we make a Google Maps layer of the bus routes round Sheffield?
    6) Can we make a mobile friendly version of these maps?

    and then after lunch:

    7) Log into GetTheirSooner with Facebook/Twitter/Google
    8) Fix the “Confirm password” box on GetThereSooner so it takes more than 8 characters :-)
    9) Can we do anything with my 3 years+ of BBC Traffic data from http://backstage.bbc.co.uk/data/TravelFeeds ?

    I’m sure I’ll think of more before Saturday :-)
