Public Group active 1 week, 1 day agoThis group is for news and discussion about the non-virtual space that is home to the GIST Community. The GIST Lab (or collaboratory) hosts user group and other community meetups, as well as being a centre for cross-discipline research and collaboration projects.

LocationThe Lab is in the Cultural Industries Quarter of Sheffield, within walking distance of the train station and transport interchange.
Walking Directions: From Sheffield Train Station to the GIST Lab
Parking is available widely around the Lab:
- On-street parking is free from 6.30pm daily (all day bank holidays and Sundays). Maximum parking time between 8am and 6.30pm is 2 hours around Sidney Street, Paternoster Row, Brown Street and Arundel Street, or up to 10 hours on side-streets off Shoreham Street within the ring road.
- Pay-and-display car parks include Arundel Street and Sidney Street.
- The Q-Park on Charles Street is a multi-storey car park – with notice we can obtain 50% discount vouchers for Lab users.
- There is another multi-story car park at the train station, which is perhaps a little closer than Charles Street. You get 30 minutes free, but no other discount.
The GIST Lab is a partnership with The Workstation.
