Senior Web Developer
We are looking to recruit a keen and motivated person, to work at our Sheffield offices. The role will involve working closely in a team environment, so good communication skills and a can-do attitude would be very beneficial. This role would suit a self-starter who is enthusiastic, confident, and happy to learn new skills as well as hone existing ones. Initially the role will be to maintain a structured network of websites and to develop new features/upgrades for them. Both design and programming will play heavy roles in this position with intent of development into new technologies, languages and environments as time progresses.
Job Description
• Mark-up websites using valid XHTML and CSS
• Programming websites in PHP 4/5 (Object Oriented Programming)
• Evaluating / Creating new web features
• Designing websites; structure, layout, functionality
• Updating databases, Excel reports & spreadsheets
• Responding / Carrying out client requests pro-actively
Required Skills
• Advanced knowledge of HTML5, XHTML and CSS3
• Advanced knowledge of PHP4, PHP5 and object oriented programming
• Advanced knowledge of SMARTY (template engine/programming environment)
• Good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash etc)
• Good knowledge of the Plesk Control Panel and Unix based servers
• Good knowledge of MySQL/SQL and databases
Preferred Skills (not essential)
• Experience with Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word and Excel
• Coding for different web browsers; IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera etc.
• Experience with Ajax, Javascript, Flash, Action Script, JQuery

Salary: 20-24k (dependent on experience)
