Shacknet: Sheffield Arduino Hackers Network

12 August 2010 in Event Listings

This is a regular meetup for folks interested in playing with and programming electronics and  toying with fire-breathing robots of death using Arduino, the popular open source hardware platform.

This month we’re starting a little earlier than usual.  The setup is informal and always friendly. Some of the things we’ll cover this month include:

  1. Project Demo: Sweets for Tweets
  2. Hackers Surgery: show’n'tell your projects and get help from others if you’re stuck
  3. Your agenda item here …

Never played with Arduino before? No problem. Get there early to have a go.
We’ll wrap up by about 8pm, and the head off to the local alehouse for some food and drinks.

Shacknet is the Sheffield Arduino Hackers Network.  More info about Arduino is here. Directions to the GIST Lab  are here.
