The GIST Foundation partners with Launch48

22 March 2010 in News

The GIST community has a strong history of getting stuck into innovative events and projects that foster learning and sharing, collaboration across disciplines and sectors  and, of course, making stuff.

So when we came across Launch48 we figured that it was a gig after our own hearts.  Teams of people – mostly complete strangers – with different skills and talents get together and go from barnstorming and pitching ideas to building and launching a web or mobile product in just 48 hours. Yes, that’s right … 48 hours.

With some world-class mentors and facilitators on hand, even if the ideas don’t take the world by storm, the participants get to share the unique and intense experience of rapid product and business development in a safe environment.

If you think you have have the energy and desire then you’ll probably be able to find the time to join in.  The event kicks off at 6pm on Friday 26 March, and wraps up after 9pm on Sunday 28 March.  If you do, we’ve negotiated a 30% discount on the ticket price. Use the code l48distdisc before 23:55 on Wednesday 24 March when you register your ticket here.

If you make it to the event, be sure to come back and tell us how it’s gone in the StartUp Mill forum (register here to be able to post).
